My name is Alyssa and I''m 14. I just want to say thanks for doing the show- you're a great actor! 7th Heaven is my favorite show and I watch it every time it is on TV. In the area I live in (ME), we can watch reruns every weekday at 3-4, and I watch it every single time, even when I'm sick or even when I've seen them before. You know, this may sound strange, but I really feel better after I watch the show. Like if I'm in a bad mood, or feeling upset, I feel so much better. Also, I learn a lot of lessons without even experiencing the consequences of the actions, but by simply watching 7th Heaven. There are a lot of lessons you have to learn by experiencing them, but others I can save some... uummmm....what ever I need to save. Ha ha ha. Anyway, if I wanted to send you something I made you and the rest of the cast, to make sure it got to you, where would I send it to? Please e~mail me if possible. I would greatly appreciate it. Interesting site. I had forgotten that you were such a prolific actor. I recently received a copy of the Directors cut of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Afterward, I began recalling other films. I recall a poorly received film from a novel known as "The Bell Jar". Please correct me if I am wrong but didn't you perform a nude scene in that? Give me a shout out. I've got good money running on that bet. In a better note, I have enjoyed your work.

Hi! My name is Jesse Navarrete. I have written to you before. I told you that I liked "7th Heaven". Just yesterday, I was watching a syndicated rerun of the episode about Lucy dealing with the death of her friend. I can kind of relate to that because earlier this year I lost my cat. I was crying when Lucy didn't want to be bothered by her family regarding it because I felt anger when my cat died.
And watching the show kind of made me relive how I felt about my cat and how I struggled to cope with my cat's death. I kind of had the same feelings that Lucy had and that scene where she cries and didn't want to be bothered by her parents made me cry too. That episode is by far the best one that you have ever done.

I have really enjoyed watching the show. However, I do not have cable and the station that runs the show is playing episodes from when Matt was still in high school. So to say the least, I do not know what is going on. The only good point is that most of the re-runs I have not seen so it is like new to me. Do you know who I can contact so request that the station receives the lastest tapes? I called the station and I was told they just play what has been sent to them. I really hate it that I do not get to see the recent stuff. Anyway, you guys do a great job. I just love you all.

Dear Mr.Collins,
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas. I am an Indian and am in US for the past 8 months. Needless to say, I am glued to your character on screen!!! Sometimes I wonder "Is there really someone like Rev Camden?" He is so perfect in every way, tries to keep happy each member of the family even if he is unwell or tired. I never miss the serial and always make a point to reach home before 7p.m. every Monday!!!! Each actor/actress perfectly suit to the character they potray. Rev Camden is understanding & compassionate, Annie is caring, Matt seems responsible, Mary is learning from her mistakes, Lucy has learnt quite a lot but needs to learn more, Simon is still young and Ruthie is the brightest,sensible and the most understanding child. Robbie, though is not of the family but is near perfect. Oh! the twins are cute....:)

I just saw you on The View. You have always seemed like a good guy (I've been a fan forever) and today's appearance sure confirms that. Anyone suggesting a peaceful solution to the world's conflicts needs to be heard.
I am wondering if you remember a job you had many years ago and was the first time I recall seeing you. It was a commercial for either Pledge or Favor furniture polish. You were rubbing the furniture while your "wife" (I think it was Nancy Morgan Ritter) talked about what a cool guy you were. It had to have been the early 70's. I remember this because as a young kid of puberty age, I remember thinking you were really "foxy" (the lingo of the time). And I don't think you mind knowing that boys also found (find) you very attractive (even though we all know that you are hetero, "not that there's anything wrong with that.")
Anyway, do you remember the commercial and do you happen do remember the name of your character in the commercial? Ah, trivia.

When this show first came out, I was so delighted because it was an hour that my children and I could spend some wonderful,family and quality time together and it has also reinforced the morals I have tried to instill in my children, who are both now young parents themselves and plan to pass those values on to their own babies. Even though they are now married, they are getting their mates to watch this show with them. May 7th Heaven continue to bring so much joy to so many for many more seasons to come.

Hello- I Have been watching 7th Heaven from the start. I watch the new and re-run episodes and have to ask myself what is happening. I love the show there is no doubt about that but, the "changing of Annie" has got me a little stunned. "Eric" was the firm yet loving, suspicous but caring man of the house, now he seems to be a wuss and "Annie" is becoming a b--ch. Is this going to be the way the show is going to be? "Annie" was much nicer and funny as the "can-do-everything" woman. I like her being the teacher and moving on to do more as she gets older, but I would like to see her kinder and "Eric" more assertive. But that is just my opinion. Take care.

Stephen, I just wanted to say that you a wonderful actor, and also a "hottie" I have seen a little bit of your work, and I loved you in Jumpin Jack Flash, One of my all time favorite movies. I saw a movie with a friend a few years ago. He had it on tape and thpought I would enjoy it. I loved it. The problem is, I cannot remember the name of it and I have lost contact with the friend.
The movie was from the early 80's or maybe late 70's. It was about a couple in love,ther was an accident, she was thought to be dead, she had major reconstructive surgery on her face. They started working together, but he didn't know it was her.

Stephen, I absolutely love the show. It's the only one on television that I make sure I'm home to see. I have a concern, though. Catherine's character, Annie, is becoming very unlikeable. First, the hormonal changes she went through, and probably is still going through, can be at least lessened with medication. The benefits of taking hormone replacement therapy are well documented, as well as the problems that can arise from not taking it. And on this week's episode, the whole scene with Mary had both my husband and myself yelling at the television, saying that the other kids are right and their mother is wrong. Perhaps it's time for Dad to step in and step up! We are a Christian family, very active in our church, and one thing we both believe is that the husband is the head of the household and sometimes needs to put his foot down.

I noticed your photo gallery did not include any pix from the Betty Broderick movies. Perhaps you were not certain how to categorize that character. I felt your performance definitely lent sympathy to Daniel Broderick, and so, while he might not have been a "good guy," it was at least an "in-between." I love everything I've seen you in, and, like so many others, am truly gratified that we have such a warm, family-oriented program as 7H to uplift us and renew our hope. p.s., I can't believe this website! I have followed your career with some interest since seeing you in "THE PROMISE." My family has watched "7th Heaven" since the first show. It has drawn our family together and also has been great for opening communication about many topics. I am glad that the writers finally let Rev. Camden "preach" a sermon from the Bible. I am looking forward to seeing what becomes of The Prodigal. Please advise the writers to not let this story line linger too much longer. I am about as sick of Mary as the characters siblings are! Also, is Ruthie suppposed to be portrayed as such a brat? We will all be glad when Annie gets through her "change!" Keep up the good work. I just wanted you to know how much you and the cast of 7th Heaven lift my spirits every evening. I do not get the WB where I live, but one station does air re-runs of the first 4 seasons. I wish I could see the 5th and 6th seasons too. I'm a single mom and this year has been really tough because one of my daughters was very ill. She is doing so much better and she too loves 7th Heaven. I'm just able to forget all of my troubles every time I watch your show. Keep up the good work!

I started watching the show about 6 months ago and have become rather hooked. I am a minister's son and now a full time minister myself. My parents were very much like Eric & Annie. Sometimes you guys make me die laughing, sometimes I cry. I think it is because you play the parts so well. I'm not sure if you ever read these or not, but if you would you be so kind as to answer me this, how do you play the part so well? Are you a man of faith or are you just acting? I suppose that is rather personal, forgive me, but something inside me really wants to believe that deep down the character of Eric Camden isn't far from the reality of Stephen Collins. The world would be a better for it. Either way, I'd like to sincerely thank you for providing GOOD entertainment for my family. I wish you the very best.

I just want to commend you and the cast and the Producers of 7th Heaven. It is so refreshing to have such a warm show to share with my children. It teaches good family morals and values, something you seldom see on television anymore. The topics are relative of any family. He hasn't had much time to escape ground zero and the funerals, but over the past couple of weeks, we have been watching 7th when it shows at 5 everynight and then on mondays at 8. I have probably seen every episode of 7th Heaven. My favorite is the one where Matt was found with the marijuana. Every time I saw it, it brought tears to my eyes. I'm having some problems with the current story line. Please get Annie back on track, give her some hormones, and let her be in control. I like the goody-two shoes part of the show. One story line I'd personally like to see is why do all of the kids have a biblical name except Lucy? Maybe Lucy is biblical but not someone I've heard of. Hope the show is on for many more years.

Hi,
In watching your show for the last couple of years, I have found that I realate to the "7th Heaven' family. I am a daughter of a minister,(my mom, both my maternal grandparents, and uncle) I find that the scripts of the show relate to real life so closely it is not even funny. Most church families are very different, depending on the religion, of course. Some just live "ideal lives" infront of public, but in real life behind the scenese, there is so much that goes on. My life resembled the show, we never with held anything in public, we are the people we are in public that we are at home. I admire your character, I have seen you struggle with the reality, things that everyone may face at some point in time, but most "ministers" are afraid of anyone knowing. In summary, I just amazes me how well you follow the "preacher" role, you seem to be a natural. Best regards Stella

I have enjoyed looking at the photos and your own thoughts about the actors and your experiences.... I feel that your performances are very believeable on the 7th Heaven show. My daughter, Stephanie, and I really love the show 7th Heaven. We expecially love the theme song. Every time the show comes on, she sings it to me. I have been in the hospital several times because of breast cancer and she always calls me when the show comes on. At the beginning of this season she went away to college for the first time. Hi Stephen aka Eric Camden..My daughter and I love your show..we watch the reruns and the regular show..we never miss any episodes..I do believe you were in another TV show with Catherine Hicks..I used to watch that show too but for the life of me I cant remember the name..Even though my daughter and I know its just a show with a cast of characters..Its like we know the Camdens and love every one of the characters..It seems to me that Annie is suffering from menopause..LOL..she cries easily anyway..but now it seems like she cries all the time..there are 2 episodes of the show that I seem to miss everytime they come on in syndication and one is the episode where you were shot and the other episode is when Simon got mixed up with a group of bad teenagers..theyve been on several times but I continue to miss both of them..but my daughter watches all of the shows whenever they come on..Oh..happy belated birthday and many many more..We hope the show stays on for quite awhile..it is a very wonderful show..Angela

First of all, and I know it's two days too late, but I wanted to say happy birthday. 7th Heaven is one of my favorite shows, (beside HI) and I try to watch it as much as possible. Great thing here, is that it's on every day of the week, so that's pretty good.
Also I would like to compliment you with your novel. Looks real good, exept not my style. I mean, I also write, myself, as you can see when visiting my website... It's great that so much people do. (If you have the gift.) I'm not really into buying stuff from the internet, otherwise I really would concider it. But to be honest, I'm not really a reader, than well a writer. (even if it's still un-published.)

I just wanted to let you know that 7th Heaven is my favorite show. Also church is a very important part of my life. It is so nice to watch a show that has that as a background. I have friends that are pastors and this show has done an excellent job in dealing with some issues that come up for a pastor. Also you do an excellent job in your potrayal of a minister. Thanks for being apart of a show that I look forward to every week. I just wish there were more new episodes so there weren't so many reruns. I also saw your birthday was Oct 1. I love your show "7th Heaven." I am 23 years old and I often fantasize about having a family like the one on 7th Heaven. I watch the re-runs as often as I can and I never miss a Monday night episode. Thank you for the entertainment you provide every Monday night. You are a remarkable actor on a great show. Unfortunately, due to the WTC tragedy, I am unable to see 7th Heaven when it airs because we no longer get tv reception on most networks. However, I do have friends who tape the show so that my father and I can still watch it eventually. 7th Heaven has become a routine on Monday nights at my house, and I thank you, the cast, and crew for the great job you're all doing.
