Me and the first car I ever owned, a powder-blue 1962 MGA convertible. Living in New York City, I never needed or wanted to own a car. I bought this for $650 when I was in Los Angeles for a year after shooting "All The President's Men." Over the years, I had it restored and kept in storage in LA whenever I went back to New York. This is me living the bachelor life in LA just before I met my wife, Faye Grant. The photo was taken by a terrific photographer, Lynn Goldsmith, who at that time specialized in pictures of rock stars. A few years later, I had moved back to New York for good and I sold the MG to my old friend Michael Tucker, who was about to go out to LA to star in "LA Law." Mike loved the car as much as I had, but, alas, six months later he totalled it in an accident from which he, very luckily, walked away.
