This was in PEOPLE magazine after a benefit for the Santa Fe Theatre Festival where we put together a rock band called "Crime." That's Rex Smith at right, and Kevin Kline, who was starring with Rex on Broadway in "Pirates of Penzeance," then SC with his Fender Jazz bass, and our lone ringer, Lars I-Can't-Remember-His-Last-Name. We did three songs and were backed up by an all-girl group, "Punishment" ("Crime" and "Punishment") consisting of Carol Kane, Jill Eikenberry, Susan Sarandon, and Brooke Adams, all of whom looked sensationally hot that night at the Broadway's Shubert Theatre.
