"The cast of a short-lived sitcom I did with Jane Curtin, "Working It Out," 1990 for NBC. The cast, aside from me and Jane, are Chevi Colton (top center) as a meddling neighbor, David Garrison as my best friend, my old friend Mary Beth Hurt as Jane's best friend, and Kyndra Joy Casper as Jane Curtin's daughter. Mary Beth and I worked together off-Broadway in the musical "More Than You Deserve," and also in "Tattinger's" in which she played my restaurant's chef. "Working It Out" did quite well in its original time slot (Saturday at 8:30), but some geniuses decided it would do better if they moved it, so they put us on Wednesday night where the ratings promptly tanked and we were cancelled."
